Can’t believe it’s now my fifth presentation of the Crosby Army ROTC Scholarship to a deserving Embry Riddle Army ROTC cadet. I am so very happy to present the award to such deserving cadets. I only wish I could give to each and every one of them.
This year’s recipient is Cadet Robert Fry, Jr. He comes from a Navy family, yet chooses the Army for his career. Cadet Fry will continue with the US Army pursing his Homeland Security degree. At 22 years of age, he has so much future ahead of him. Herby (Captain Crosby for whom the scholarship is named) lost his life in Vietnam at age 22. His career ended. So glad to see Cadet Fry to take the lead now in his career.
When you sit in a room full of young, determined Army cadets you most assuredly feel secure and know that with men and women like these our country will never fail.
Thank you Cadet Fry and Eagle Battalion. You’re all the greatest!
